Reboots are in. Ask Chris Nolan and his Batman series. Ask Darren Aronofsky, who’s remaking… I mean REBOOTING Robocop. It seems only fair, then, that JC Penny totally hijacks the 80s and reboots “The Breakfast Club” to sell its back to school fall fashion line. Sigh. I wish people could vote commercials off the TV sometimes. Or at least send instant feedback to whomever made this: Please, no Simple Minds. The cover used in the ad is performed not (as Wikipedia would like you to believe) by an emo band called Empathy from 1994 (which you should not look up on itunes), but by the only slightly less crappy contemporary hard rock band New Found Glory.
